Our Black Mission and Kadota Figs are grown by Tonetta “The Fig Lady,” a third generation California fig farmer.

Tonetta’s grandad, Mauro Simone, planted and farmed some of the first fig orchards in San Joaquin Valley, helping to make this little known Mediterranean fruit available for sale to people all over the country.

Nicknamed ‘nature’s candy,’ this highly perishable fruit needs special care and expertise to get it from Passion Fruit Farm’s orchards to your home. What makes Tonetta’s figs the best? “I’m really good at what I do,” she says. “I oversee every part of the process so that our figs are picked when they’re perfectly ripe, and reach people in great condition.”

Although many things have changed since the decades her granddad did the farming, one thing does remain the same, her passion and pride in bringing only the highest quality fresh figs from her family to yours.
