Our 44oz. (2.75-pound) plastic tubs are made for the true honey-lover. Wililaiki Honey is also known in the Islands as Christmas Berry Honey. Try our Organic Wililaiki Honey as a delicious sweetener in black tea or chai. Wililaiki Honey has an amber color, slightly grainy mouth-feel, undertones of brown sugar and molasses with a subtly spicy finish.
100% raw, meaning all of the honeys’ unique enzymes are preserved for optimal nutrition. This is in contrast to many commercially produced honeys which are pasteurized. Heating honey to such a degree kills its naturally-occurring enzymes, which are very heat-sensitive.
Unfiltered, meaning naturally-occurring pollen and other micro-nutrients are present in our honeys. This is in contrast to many commercially-available honeys that are ultra-filtered at high temperatures, a process which strips honey of its beneficial properties.
Certified organic, meaning our bees don’t feed on flowers that are sprayed by chemicals of any kind, which we ensure by keeping our bees in remote locations on our remote island in the Pacific Ocean. We don’t use any chemicals or antibiotics in the production of our honeys, either. Our honeys are certified by the Hawaii Organic Farmers Association (HOFA), which follows the USDA’s National Organic Program standards.
Certified Carbonfree™, meaning all carbon emissions generated in the production and shipping of the honeys are calculated and offset by investing in reforestation, renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Royal Hawaiian Honeys are the first U.S. food product with this designation.
