A Perfect Pear
When you live in the pear capital of the world, it’s not hard to fall in love with this delicately perfumed fruit that Greek poet Homer called, “Gift of the Gods.” That’s what happened to Susan Knapp, founder and CEO of A Perfect Pear when she lived in Lake County, California. Susan traded vegetables with a pear farmer down the road and began making pear jelly and condiments as a hobby in the 1980s. Soon, she discovered a demand for high-quality and unique gourmet condiments—and a lack of pear-based products in the marketplace.
Alpine Meats
What started out as a small family business has steadily grown over the years and still maintaining the foundation on which it was built: highest quality and superior customer service. Alpine products do not contain artificial flavors; only the finest fresh meats and premium spices are used. Alpine Meats' traditional hickory hardwood burning smokehouses slowly bring out the true smoked flavor of their products which they are happy to share with FromTheFarm.com.
Angel Acres Farms
Angel Acres Farm is the premier Berkshire Pork farms in all of Wisconsin. Owners Jeff and Eileen McCutchen along with the help of all six children Michael, Melissa, Thomas, Anne Marie, Bridget and Sean Paul have worked hard to build their farm. All of the animals at Angel Acres are raised using sustainable, humane, and compassionate methods. Our animals have plenty of space to be themselves, and they only receive antibiotics if they are sick. We care about our animals and help them live good lives. We call our animals by name, feed them well, and give them lots of room to run around.
AR Express
AR Express is a small family –owned business that was founded in 2007 with a vision to promote health and vitality through the use of organic foods. Dealing directly with the grower-supplier, AR Express is able to avoid the use of intermediaries that are usually involved in larger companies. As a result, their products have been minimally handled and individually packaged with care. AR Express believes in the healing and sustaining powers of foods and their nutritional benefits to our health.
