Shallots for Sale.  Approx 10 lbs.  Long associated with French cooking, this member of the onion family is best described as a cross between garlic and onion. With a delicate, mild flavor and tender texture, shallots are commonly used in sauces and salad dressings. A popular kitchen onion, shallots are wonderful caramelized and tossed with vegetables from green beans and mushrooms to Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. 

Storage:

Store onions in a cool, dry, ventilated place – not in the refrigerator. Do not store onions in plastic bags.  Lack of air movement reduces storage life.
